One of the biggest cash cows in the wedding industry is selling prints and making albums. We'd prefer to take photographs and leave these details, so easily done in the digital age, up to you (or a friend as a gift to you). Online printing serviices as well as local Costcos will do a wonderful job at a fraction of the cost of a "Wedding Package". You can buy beautful albums from Michaels or E-bay and again, for a fraction of the cost.
Our rates for an event other than a wedding is $500 for a 6 hous day.
Our rate for photographing a Wedding is $600 for up to a 6 hour day + one pre wedding visit + Web site for 90 days.
We charge more for a wedding because we will either go to a rehearsal or another form of site visit with you before the big day. This is such an important part of the process for both of us. I like this time to be very casual so we can get the feel of each other. It makes the day of the wedding a time when people who know each other are working togather and not total strangers.
As far as the 6 hours coverage of the weddig day, if you wish to split the day up with an early ceremony and a late reception, the "down time" between those two time periods will be $60 an hour.
The pre wedding visit: It's preferable if this is also an onsite visit during the weekday, Monday - Thursday and ultimately it would be wonderful if we were able to do this at the rehearsal. Fridays may not be available for a rehearsal or site visit. That will be dictated by my avaiilability. Our package also includes a CD/DVD of high resolution photos shipped within 10 working days and all rights to copy, print, alter and distribute them non-commercially. We will create a web presence on the Duende Vision Studios domain of at least 100 pictures for 90 days after the ceremony.
The first 70 miles round trip (35 miles each way) is free. Travel above 70 miles will be 50 cents a mile. This applies to the event as well as the meeting before the event..
